First Meeting Recap

Hey everyone!

Thanks to everyone who turned out yesterday for our first meeting of the semester! If you couldn’t make it don’t fret! I’ve recapped everything below:

Fall Meeting Dates: see calendar; we’ll have a meeting every other Thursday.

Open House: we’ve decided to attract more members with free food at an “Open House” style meeting on Sept. 9th. This is a chance to tell people who we are and what we do. Bring your friends!

Elections: Forgotten Friends holds elections every calendar year to make the school-year transitions easier. If you’re interested in an executive position for the 2011 calendar year (Spring 2011/Fall 2011) email stating your name and the position you would like to fun for by Nov. 4th. We will hold elections on Nov. 18th, so prepare a spiel for that meeting saying who you are, why you want the position, why you’d be good for the job, etc.

We want to know what you’re interested in: Do you know about a person or organization you’d like to hear present at one of our meetings? Please let us know and we will definitely try to get them to come and speak! Also, any suggestions for fundraising ideas or activities are more than welcome! Our contact info can be found here.

That’s all, folks! We’re really pumped about this upcoming semester, we have some great events coming up. Keep checking this site and our facebook page for details. Have a great weekend, we’ll see you two Thursdays from now!

Welcome back!

Hey there!

I hope you all had fantastic summers! We’ve just got a few days left before class craziness kicks in, can you believe it? Make sure to go waste as much time as possible while you still can!

Forgotten Friends is having our first meeting of the year on Thursday, August 26th at Jittery Joes in the MLC. We would love to see you there, so make sure to stop by! We’ll be talking about upcoming events, plans for the semester, and we are more than willing to answer any questions you may have about what the organization. Drop by, pester us with questions,  bring ideas for volunteer opportunities and drag along a friend or two! 🙂

See you on the 26th!
